So as I was showering, a question came to mind: Is there such a thing as a silent friendship? Is it plausible to have two people who do not talk become or, more importantly, remain friends? Just one inquiry upon many.

Sleepily and disinterestedly I do this, for I lack an urge to complete the last bit of homework that I have in front of me. I woke up at 9:30 this morning, blatantly having ignored my last night plan to run with D at 8:15 (she neglected to awake to her alarm anyway), tended to all the usual morning routines, ate a peach yogurt, and played Scrabble, all the while having a Wikipedia page open somewhere with the initial intention of finishing history. After nine hours of sleep, I still want more sleep. Go figure. sigh . I have been complaining of sleepiness for the past two hours or so, but it isn't like I will really go back to sleep, since I haven't even had lunch yet. And, personally, it just makes no sense to sleep after you've just gotten up. And I still have the aforementioned bit of homework to complete. So much for having everything done by Thursday. Today marked the beginning of the second week of January. That is, if you count by days and not weeks. I still have a bit of homework left, but I really do not feel like doing it. You know, I spent a few hours yesterday doing nothing but drawing an extra credit picture to o along with the calc story. And it isn't even that good! Oh, well. I'd say it was time well spent. It's not like I would have judiciously used my time otherwise. This is probably the first winter break during which I finished the majority of my homework before the weekend prior to school. Yay! You know, now that I've almost banished my former habit of procrastination, I don't know why I spent so much time before procrastinating and feeling miserable for myself at last minute. It feels so good to just have things done before deadline. Speaking of deadline, I read on the New Yorker earlier that the newspaper business is slowly but surely deteriorating. Not that drastically, but enough for economist...

This show lasts until eleven tonight, and its beginning dance of the Irish group completely enthralled me. All the following groups did not get any better than that, though. We'll see about all the next groups! (It's a dance competition between eight groups from six continents, with the categories of solo, duet, and group, the latter of which intrigues me most.) Have you ever heard of an Australian tap dancer? Pretty cool, if you ask me. Hmm, so I had my first driving lesson this morning. It was supposed to be from one to three in the afternoon, but then the driving school lady called me barely fifteen minutes after I woke up and changed the time to ten! But, yeah, when I went downstairs and saw that another student was going to be in the backseat while I was going to drive, I got pretty worried for her, no joke. After about ten minutes of a few basic things, the instructor said, "Okay, go." That blunt command completely flustered me! Drive? Really? Just like that?! I...

So I went to run earlier, and because I haven't showered yet, I've been quite cold for the past hour or so. I should have showered an hour ago, dagnabbit. I'd better not get sick, what with this coldness in addition to all my sister's sick germs lying around everystupidwhere. So far I've finished chemistry (which was unfathomably difficult) and journalism (which took hours upon hours of reading news online); halfway done with history ("Frost/ Nixon" was actually a really good movie). And...that's about it. Calc and English are left for the rest of this week and some of next week, probably. Then I'll just study, read, and run. Or do whatever. It is now 7:35. I paused this to take a (long and warm) shower, and now I am a lot warmer than I was earlier. Though, I think that I may have, adversity of all adversities, contracted the cold. Stupid gayy. :( What is up with the Rose Bowl Parade thing being on channel five all day anyway? I want to watch ...
